EdgeGear SHIFT Watch Band – First Look

Normally we share KickStarter announcements in the #WiR, but with only seven days to go in the EdgeGear SHIFT Watch Band campaign, we didn’t want this one to wait. The SHIFT watch band is designed to change the way you look at your watch by moving your watch from your wrist to the top of your hand between your thumb and pointer finger. The result is an improved viewing angle that doesn’t take a clunky shake of your wrist to accomplish.

The SHIFT will come with three loops (in place of a standard band) to fit a wide range of wrist sizes. And each of the loops weighs approximately 50% less than traditional watch bands. One of the goals of the EpicGear team was to accommodate as many existing watches as possible. As of today, it is compatible with:

  • APPLE— 38mm, 42mm
  • PEBBLE—  Time, Time Steel, Steel, Classic, Round
  • GARMIN— Forerunner® 220, 225, 230, 235, 310XT, 620, 630, 910XT, 920XT, Fenix 2, Fenix 3, Vivoactive, Epix, Quatix Approach-S2, S4, S5, S6
  • SUUNTO— Ambit, Core, Elementum, Essential, Traverse, Vector
  • AND A WHOLE LOT MORE!— Basis Peak, Moto360, LG G watch, ASUS ZenWatch, Samsung Gear S2 Classic

For those looking to give it a try, you have just seven days left to jump on the KickStarter campaign, so get on it! Shipments are aimed for March 2016, and a single SHIFT will currently set you back $30 (or two for $55).
