Happy Sunday! And for our American readers (at least those who enjoy American football and\or good commercials) Happy SuperBowl Sunday! We are hoping everyone had a great week of workouts. It’s time to get off the couch and back on to the road (or possibly the trainers). Down here in sunny South Florida we spent much of the week back in the pool.

It was a busy week for us when we weren’t training. We finally sent the S5 back to Cervélo. A few tears were shed in the office as we boxed up the bike. The S5 had quickly became a staff favorite and made for some very fun times over the past few months. Tracy shared her thoughts on one of the fine fuel belts from Nathan this week as well. She called it “one of the most comfortable fuel belts she’s ever worn.” For anyone looking to ride safer, make sure to check out our thoughts on the new XLAB Training Strobes—lights made specifically for aero seat posts.

For those visiting us for the first time—welcome! One of our favorite ways to showcase our readers is our Readers’ Rides album on Facebook. You can check it out at http://on.fb.me/12jEqE3. If you would like to have your bike featured in our album just tweet us at @AeroGeeksFacebook message us, or email us at info@AeroGeeks.com.

Mail Room:

It was a busy week in the AG mail room with shipments from Giro, Garmin, K-Edge, and Fuji. Giro sent us a bright blue Selector. And while we have spent quite a bit of time with Giro’s aero road helmet, the Air Attack, this will be our first chance to experience its time trial brethren. Garmin sent us both their VIRB action camera and the 910XT triathlon bundle. We still have the Sony camera under review, so it’s definitely going to be exciting to see how they stack up against each other. Speaking of the Sony, K-Edge sent us their Go Big adapter that allows the Sony to use GoPro mounts. And finally, Fuji sent us their brand new Norcom Straight 1.3 with Ultegra Di2. We’ve been looking forward to spending time with this bike for quite some time! Check out the gallery below to get a sneak peak at all of the new goodies.

Current Reviews:

  1. Bontrager Race X Lite aerobars – We shared our thoughts on Profile Design’s wrist relief aerobars this week, and in another week we will let you know what we think about Bontrager’s very light weight competitor.
  2. Mavic CXR 60 – The CXR60s move from the S5 to the QR this week. We want to see how these middle-depth wheels feel on a pure triathlon machine.
  3. Cervelo P2/P3 – The P2 and P3 spent time together on the road this week. It’s easy to imagine this frame on its way to the podium on any given Sunday.
  4. Profile Design TwentyFour Series – They came off the QR and went on the P3 this week. One more week until our final thoughts.
