We lost an hour of sleep this weekend but that doesn’t mean we were about to give up an hour of training. Or if you had the fortune (misfortune?) to be racing today, you were awake an hour earlier. Although if you’re anything like our multisport editor, the time change didn’t hold you back—she earned a PR to start the season.

This Week’s Posts

The Mail Room

Fi’zi:k sent us their carbon braided Tritone this past week, and while we didn’t get a chance to take it into the photo studio, we did want to make sure you knew we would be testing it soon. The Tritone came with Fi’zi:k’s carriage kit (transition hook, C02 + tube holder, and bottle cage holders). This isn’t actually our first time with the Tritone – one was on the Cannondale Slice we tested last year. But this will be our first chance to put it through a formal review.

Current Reviews

Pearl Izumi Mach 5 Speed Suit

We got our first chance to ride with the Mach 5 this week, and let us get this out of the way – the Mach 5 hides nothing. We actually received it during the holiday season, but we needed January and February to work off a few off-season pounds. Now that we are back in race shape, we decided to give it a go. And so far so good! Temperature regulation was even better than expected.

Zipp 808 NSW

The 808 NSWs got another workout this week. Winds were in the 15-17mph range, and the workout had us taking them head on and from the sides. Zipp highlights the NSW’s ability to handle crosswinds, and from what we saw this week, they are up for the challenge.
