The Look 796 was one of the most beautiful bikes on the floor of the Mandalay Bay this week. Gone was the camouflage paint job we had been seeing in pro tour races, and in was the black, red, and white that let the frame do the talking.
While our full technical breakdown of the 796 will be coming a little later, we couldn’t wait to share our gallery of images of the 796. Oh, and fair warning… be sure to have a few tissues handy as many of these photos can be drool-inducing.
- The Selle Italia saddle is attached to a reversible seat post (ensuring UCI legality).
- The cockpit is one of the most beautiful we have seen and is flippable to allow you to get low for TT racing.
- The XLAB Torpedo matches perfectly with the 796 cockpit. We love how the risers are angled to match the base bar.
- Top tube bolts allow you to go with a bento box of your choosing (Look kept the XLAB theme going with a Stealth Pocket 500).
- The front end of the 796.
- The brakes are fully integrated into the fork.
- Like the cockpit, the Zed chain ring is a work of art.
- The rear brakes are hidden under the bottom bracket.
- The Look 796.
- Another shot of the Zed Crank.
- We wouldn’t mind having to spend a few hours hanging on to this cockpit.
