There is something about short course races that we always tend to under estimate. Whether it be Sprint distance triathlons or just the local 5K, no matter how much race-specific training you do, you still walk up to the line saying to yourself, “its just 20 minutes.” But then the gun goes off, and you remember that while it may just be 20 minutes, its 20 minutes with your internal power setting at absolute MAX. The old saying “it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon” works in reverse here.” It’s a sprint, and you better move your ass.

That being said, the whole team was at the start line of a local 5K this week. And while leading up to it we were big on posting articles, we were short on long course training. Unfortunately, that means no review updates today. But don’t fret, we still have a new Readers’ Ride to share with you, as well as an update on TrueStart Coffee. Read on for more!

#AGReadersRides

This week’s #AGReadersRide comes from Jason, and it left us a little stumped. Usually one of the questions we get along with a submission is what we think they should do next. When you check out this Shiv below, you realize that Jason has left us little in the way of options.

  • 2015 Specialized Shiv S-Works
  • Pro Missile Evo cockpit
  • Zipp 404 Firecrest / Super 9 disc

TrueStart Coffee Update

When we reviewed TrueStart Coffee two weeks ago, one of our only complaints was packing and the clarity of instructions. Toting a glass jar of coffee in your bag just isn’t practical. Good news! TrueStart has informed us that their pouches are now available. So for those of you looking for a more travel friendly container, you can pick up a pouch of TrueStart for £6.99 ($9.80 U.S). TrueStart has also improved the instructions, so you’ll have no issues making that perfect cup on the go. Pick up their new pouch here, including a scoop for easy measuring.
