It was a cold weather gear week here at AeroGeeks.com. First we took a look at the Weatherneck from the makers of Fix It Sticks, and then we reviewed Pearl Izumi’s Fall 2015 product line, including their fantastic Thermal LTD Jersey. Even the weather cooperated with a few days of actual cool weather training.

Current Reviews
Ventum One
We got our last rides in with the Ventum One this week, and as expected, they didn’t disappoint. Stay tuned for our thoughts coming up soon.
Bontrager Hilo XXX Carbon Saddle
If you’re looking for an ultralight split-nosed saddle, take a long look at the Hilo XXX. We’ve had the current model in house for a while and just received the new for 2016 model with updated materials. Whether it’s on the road bike or the TT machine, we have been able to find real comfort for the long haul.
Finish Line Absorb It Mat
The Finish Line Absorb It Mat has found a home underneath our trainers. While we used it at first on the work bench, under the trainer is where it has found its best use. Sweat has met its match with this mat.
Recon Jet
We had a good chance to test out the battery life of the Jet this week. At an hour and forty minutes the battery life isn’t quite what we need for a whole workout. Luckily the Jet’s batteries are easily swapped, and carrying two isn’t an issue at all.
Shimano SH-TR9 Tri Shoe
Ride number two was this week, and we were just as comfortable as we were during the first. With or without socks, our feet were happy campers as we broke them in on the trainer. Next week we get our first rides out on the road.
