It was a quiet week here at the office, but unfortunately not for the reasons we would hope. Instead of people off for the holidays, half the team was out sick with the flu. We guess the only good news was that it hit us in the off season.

Dash Cycles Newly Priced Saddle Line

Last week Dash Cycles launched an Indiegogo campaign for their new padded carbon saddle line. This new line is built for the single purpose of getting Dash Cycles awesome saddles to consumers at a much lower price point. Athletes can get a Dash saddle for as low as $190 for an individual saddle, or for those looking to do group buys, they can get as low as $135. The eventual retail price will be $229.

Three saddle models are available – the Strike, Stage, and Slate. Most of our readers are going to gravitate toward the Stage as its more of a TT saddle, while the Strike offers a wider base to support a more upright position. Both saddles have a 95 kg weight limit and weigh just 175g. To keep the prices low, the saddles have only a single color and padding combination available. (Those looking for more custom options can still find them available at http://www.dashcycles.com/).

Shipment can be as early as arrival before Christmas (for an upcharge). The rest of the backers can expect to get them by January. Anyone looking to purchase directly from Dash Cycles’ website should expect to see them in late February or March.
