The pro athletes racked early Sunday morning and the good news for them was that they got to avoid some of the rain that had come through the night before. Unfortunately for us this meant that we had only a short time (in the dark) to check out what the pros are riding. Check out our gallery below to see some of the setups the pros used for race day.
The Orbea of Andrew Starykowicz
Starykowicz rides with Torhans, Vision, and a Tririg Omega
P5 racked and ready.
Rubber banded shoes are common in the pro rack.
Trek Speed Concept
This P3 caught our eye with what looks like a Magura brake off of a P5.
Bottles of Pitstop are also common on the pro rack.
We have always loved the Vision TriSpoke.
The Venum of Leanda Cave.
A very green water bottle on Leanda’s Ventum.
Pitstop hidden under Leanda’s saddle.
Leanda rides with a Giro Air Attack.
The winning Cube of Michael Raelert.
There is only one #1.
We are guessing the tape here helps keep the surface flush for aero purposes.
The cockpit of Cam Dye’s Fuji Norcom Straight.
We love the carbon of the Shimano PRO Disc.
This caught our eye – a Specialized Fuel Cell on an Argon18.

Sweet pics, but it shows that many, many pros are still clueless when it comes to aerodynamics.
