December may be one of the best months to be based in South Florida. While the rest of the country have had their arm warmers on for months, we just finally hit the 50s. The break in temperature is finally giving us a chance for a bit of cool weather testing with the 110% Katalyst, Bell Star Pro, Kask Infinity, and a few others. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we get a chance to finalize our thoughts.

This week we looked at two products we’ve enjoyed having in the AG garage. TriRig’s Mercury pedals are definitely not your “standard” pedal, and we were happy to have the opportunity to put them through their paces. Zipp’s Vuka Stealth combines an aerodynamic pedigree with a huge number of fit options to produce one of the best bars out there. And our multisport editor has made threats to anyone who tries to remove it from her Shiv test bike.

This Week’s Posts

Wednesday – TriRig Mercury – Review

Thursday – Zipp Vuka Stealth – Review

Mail Room

We received both a big box and a small box this week. The small box contained Profile Designs’ new RML rear carrier. Designed to hold either a single cage or two, the RML should make a worthy companion to what came in the big box – a Quintana Roo PR6 Ultegra Di2 with Reynolds Strike wheels. We have been looking to get a PR6 into the AG garage for a while, so is a perfect way to start the New Year.

New TAC Training Videos

Our friends at TAC posted some new videos this week that we’d like to share with you. First finds Coach Tommy showcasing hill repeats (many triathletes’ most feared run workout). While they’re never fun, these are the workouts that get you on the podium

Next up, TAC is showcasing Open Water Swim Tips. For most new triathletes, this is the scariest part of the race. So this is a great video to review during the off season.
