We are getting the WiR out to you a touch early this week. Tomorrow we will be spending the day at Miami Man – look for our chief editor sporting his AG gear. You may also find one of our editors on the course as well!
The last race of the season is always bittersweet. Yeah, we get to celebrate an awesome season – PRs for all of the AeroGeeks team, but now we have to wait for the spring to begin the hunt anew. Lucky for us we have plenty of testing to do between now and the spring, which means lots of miles during those “harsh” Florida winters (it may even dip into the 50s!)
For those visiting for the first time—welcome! One of our favorite ways to showcase our readers is our Readers’ Rides album on Facebook. You can check it out at http://on.fb.me/12jEqE3. If you would like to have your bike featured in our album just tweet us at @AeroGeeks, Facebook message us, or email us at info@AeroGeeks.com.
This Week’s Posts
Wednesday – Catalyst Disc Cover – Review
Coach Tommy Does Video
Coach Tommy Allore has been sharing his insights as part of our Geeks Guidance series, and now he has decided to create not one, but three new video series. First up is his Triathlon 101 series, detailing all the questions a newbie to the sport may ask. For his first in the series we have “what is a ‘brick’ workout?”
For those who have been in the sport for a bit longer, check out Tommy’s advanced series. This week he is joined by Chris to discuss strength training exercises for triathletes.
And last but not least is his Youth and Junior Triathlon Development series. Tommy has had some huge successes with his junior triathletes, but his video analysis concepts can work for athletes of any age. In fact, expect to see us at Home Depot stocking up on the supplies he recommends sometime next week.
Mail Room
We didn’t get a chance to do a full photo shoot of all the products that have hit our mail room these past two weeks, but we did get this teaser shot. Any guesses as to what we may have in store for you (and where this seatpost goes)?
Current Review
- Flo Disc – Our technical editor just had one thing to say about the Flo this week – FAST.
- Zipp Vuka Stealth – The Stealth gets its final race test this Sunday. But judging by the fact that we are willing to race with it, you know we can’t have many concerns.
- 110% Katalyst – The temperature is dropping, and the Katalyst is finally getting a test in the cooler weather. While our runs with it in the heat have been great, it does start to get a little warm over 90 degrees. Now we want to see how it feels in cooler temperatures.
- Hawk Racing Kit – We partnered with Hawk Racing (HR-Sportswear) to create an awesome Aerogeeks Kit, and the team has been wearing it all summer. Stay tuned for our thoughts of one of the most attractive kits on the road (if we do say so ourselves!)
