We don’t know about you, but we were glued to the Tour of California all week. We thought the second stage TT would be our favorite day, but watching Taylor Phinney solo his way to the finish line on stage five was a sight to behold and without a doubt our favorite moment from this year’s ATOC. A close second is the video below—if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out!

This week on AG we only shared one article, but this is one that Tracy, our multisport editor, has been looking forward to sharing for a while. It’s easy to forget the Louis Garneau Course when debating which aero road helmet is the best – it looks so…normal. Yet Tracy has spent the past few months with it and came away raving about it. Make sure to check it out.

For those visiting for the first time—welcome! One of our favorite ways to showcase our readers is our Readers’ Rides album on Facebook. You can check it out at http://on.fb.me/12jEqE3. If you would like to have your bike featured in our album just tweet us at @AeroGeeksFacebook message us, or email us at info@AeroGeeks.com.

Pro-Bike Corner

We tend to be excited when we get a chance to showcase just one professional bike. But this week we get to showcase two! First up is Thomas de Gendt’s Specialized Shiv TT. Not to be confused with the Shiv TRI – this is the UCI legal version of the Shiv that just so happens to have won a few world championships. You can check out the whole gallery here or just take a sneak peak below.

Amazingly enough, de Gendt’s wasn’t even our favorite pro-bike for the week. That distinction goes to Frederick Van Lierde and his custom P5. We are a sucker for anything fluorescent green – and this bike has it in spades. The full Di2 build-out with Cosmic CXR80s doesn’t hurt at all either.

Thursday – Louis Garneau Course – Review

Mail Room:

Not only do we have mail room updates for you, but we had a chance to get some great shots of a number of our recent additions and couldn’t wait to share them with you. First up are our brand-spanking-new AeroGeeks kits from HawkRacing. These kits have been a long time in the making, and we could not be happier with how they came out. For now these are for editors only, but if you are interested in purchasing one, let us know and we’ll see what we can do!

These great kits aren’t the only things we received. VonDrais sent us our custom “AeroGeeks – Testing in Progress” cards this past week, and they look fantastic. Be sure to say hi if you see one of these bad boys on the street.

Finally we had both Zipp and Ogio send us some great products. Ogio sent us their 9.0 Endurance bag that we are already looking forward to using during our next brick. And that isn’t just because this happens to have the perfect blue\green color scheme—although it doesn’t hurt!

Zipp sent us their new Alumina BTA mount with an included computer mount. To hold the bottle, they included their carbon BTA bottle cage. We already have it mounted to the Fuji Norcom Straight 1.3 we have been testing—stay tuned for our thoughts.

Finally we get to share a few shots of our new LiteSpeed C1 Race. We love having aero road bikes to play with, and the C1 looks to be an exciting addition to our stable.
