8/11/2013 – AeroGeeks WiR

This week we were proud to announce our new AeroGeeks Awards categories. Comprised of two categories, these honors are awarded to the products that have stood out above and beyond the rest. These are the products that we choose to use not only on our test bikes but on our personal rides as well. Read more about our new awards here.

Additionally, we took a look at Profile Design’s Sync Hydration System, a smart product designed to ensure your hydration is at hand when you need it on the run—not on the ground. We also posted our First Ride on the Reynolds Aero 72/90.

Finally, we’re sad to report that one of our editors fractured their elbow while training earlier this week. Fortunately they’re already on the road to a speedy recovery. We’re sure many of our readers have been sidelined by an injury, so please bear with us this week as some of our scheduled posts were delayed. Not to worry, we plan to be back on track this week. Also, keep an eye out for a future post or two on rehab workouts as our editor works through their recovery plan.

For all of our new followers—welcome! One of our favorite ways to showcase our readers is our Readers’ Rides album on Facebook. You can check it out athttp://on.fb.me/12jEqE3. If you would like to have your bike featured in our album just tweet us at @AeroGeeksFacebook message us, or email us at info@AeroGeeks.com.

7. GoPro Hero3 Silver

Even with just a few weeks of testing the Hero3 under our belts we are already seeing how this little camera can be used in all three sports. Over the next few weeks we plan to continue using it on the bike, as well as in the pool. Our scheduled transition training session has been put on hold this week in light of our editor’s injury, but we will be utilizing the Hero3 in transition training shortly.

8. ICEDot Crash Sensor

Anyone reading this site has gone on at least one long, lonely ride with one or more loved ones worrying about them. So you know how important it is to reach those loved ones if something happened to you. The ICEDot promises to do just that. Stay tuned as we continue to put it through its paces.
