Betty Designs Spring 2013 Line – First Look

With Mother’s Day fast approaching we thought it was the perfect time to take a look at Betty Designs Spring 2013 lineup. For those not familiar with Betty Designs’ work, they set themselves apart with one-of-a-kind graphics designed by age-group triathlete, Kristin Mayer. She’s designed suits and kits for World Champion triathletes, cyclists, and teams and has been the creative director for many multisport publications. Kristin’s designs are influenced by her passion for street/surf style, high fashion, and creating a girly “kick butt” edge.

While Betty Designs produces products for men and women, their women’s line is what they are best known for. Betty Designs gear is printed on swim suits and kits cut specifically for a woman’s body and performance. Their signature look will be and has always been their “Skull and Butterfly” design. Betty Designs has placed this design on cycling kits, swimsuits, hats, iPhone cases, and helmets. But by far our favorite usage can be found on their take on the Adamo Road Saddle.

You can also find this design on a one piece swimsuit, bikini, hat, and men’s cycling kit.

While we have not yet had a chance to sample their full spring lineup, a few of the products and designs really stood out.

First up is the Snake Skin print. Betty Designs has placed it on both their swimsuits and cycling kits. The kits include women’s specific padding. Their swimsuits come in both one- and two-piece designs.

Betty Designs’ spring lineup is also highlighted by the Pucciesque design. Betty Designs is making this pattern available on both swimsuits and a tri kit. The tri kit top comes with a built-in bra and women-specific tri fleece pad.

Overall, we are big fans of what Betty Designs is doing with their product line.  We would be lying if we said we didn’t enjoy showing up at the pool or for a group ride in a kit that truly stands out. Betty Designs is doing that with products that not only look good, but are meant to truly perform.
