3/31/2013 – AeroGeeks Week in Review

It was a good week here at AeroGeeks. We started the week by sharing our thoughts on SBR’s TriSlide. We also took a first look at Specialized’s new Tri\TT saddle, the Sitero. Then on Friday we finished up our long term review of Hawk Racing’s 50mm Clincher (which we were quite impressed with).

Looking forward to the coming week we are going to be highlighting Dash Cycle’s Tri.7 saddle as well as finishing up our review on the Hawk Racing BB30 Bottom Bracket. Stay tuned this week and make sure you keep following us on Twitter and Facebook!

1. Hawk Racing BB30 Bottom Bracket

Check out our final thoughts coming this week!

2. Mad Fiber Carbon Clinchers

These are a remarkable wheelset, 1300 grams (1299 measured) but remarkably aero. While we have felt cross winds more so on these wheels than say a set of Zipps or Flos there is not the instability some people have credited to this wheel set. In fact we find these wheels so stable that we have determined that these will be our race day wheelset for next weekend.

3. Zensah High Compression Short

Our first look is coming this week but before then rest assured that we are wearing these regularly for both recovery and active use.

4. 110% Play Harder Overdrive Compression Sock with Ice Sleeve

We have completely changed how we look at post workout recovery due to this set. If you haven’t had a chance to take a look at the first look, we highly recommend it.

5. Dash Cycle Tri.7

We will be publishing our first look later this week but until then we can tell you that Dash has created something special with this saddle.

6. Vision Metron Crank

We just installed the new Vision Metron Crank on our Felt DA4 this week and we are already impressed. There is a noticeable difference in the stiffness of this crankset as compared to Visions already impressive TriMax crankset.

Nick from TriRig was at Oceanside this weekend for the IM 70.3. His gallery covering the pre-race expo as well as the pro athelete’s bikes is well worth a look here and here. Make sure to take a look.
