It was a very Euro week here at AeroGeeks.com. We shared not one but two Euro-only products – the Canyon Speedmax 9.0 CF and the Bontrager Aeolus Helmet. We also took a look at some new products coming out of Silca, which yes, we know is based in Indianapolis but is still as Italian as ever in our hearts! And for our non-European audience, we also shared our review of the fantastic TriRig Alpha Classic bar.

DCRainmaker tells us that the install looks to be fairly easy, and we are expecting to get our opportunity in the not-so-distant future. Until then, stay tuned to AeroGeeks.com for the latest Powerbeat news. And if you are already sold, head over to Watteam.com tomorrow to get signed up.

New GU Releases

For those who use the GU family of products, you may have noticed a lack of an energy bar for those longer workouts. We know we have. It turns out that GU recognized it as well, and the new GU Energy Stick is the solution to that problem. The GU Energy Stick is a whole-food stick with 200 calories crafted from only a handful of natural ingredients, comprised of 70% organic, gluten-free nutrition.

GUBar

Roasted organic quinoa forms the basis of the first two flavors (Crispy Honey Peanut and Crispy Chocolate Almond). Because quinoa is replete with complex carbohydrates and also contains all eight essential amino acids, it makes for a quality source of both energy and complete protein. With the addition of healthy fats from almonds, peanuts and cocoa, the Energy Sticks are a healthy, varied, and clean source of complete nutrition for pre-workout meals or as a mid-workout source of energy. The design of the Energy Stick is maximized for athletes, as the stick shape allows athletes to stash it in a hydration pack or belt, or a bike jersey pocket and to eat a measured amount at a time. Energy Sticks will retail for $2.50 per stick, or $30 for a pack of 12. They will be available for sale in Spring 2016.

GUFlask

GU also launched a new large volume option for GU and GU Roctane. This new 15 serving pouch is meant for those that prefer to use a gel flask and\or not deal with the hassle of individual gel servings. The new option will be available in Salted Caramel Energy Gel, Strawberry Banana Energy Gel, Sea Salt Chocolate Roctane, and Blueberry Pomegranate Roctane. And will retail for $30.00 in November 2015.
