You probably don’t recognize the Pareto principle by its proper name, but you probably know the more general phrase – the 80-20 rule. For those who don’t know, the 80-20 rule states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. Inversely, it implies that the last 20% of outcome requires 80% of the work. And such has been our upgrade process. Two weeks ago we made the switch to our new servers, and in less than a day we had 80% of Aerogeeks back up and running. But getting the last 20% has been a bit of a nightmare. Fortunately we think we are FINALLY done! Hopefully you won’t notice any changes at all, but if you do, make sure to let us know.

While we were pretty busy with the upgrades this week, we did get to share two new reviews with you. Make sure to check out our thoughts on the Cycliq Fly 6 and the Bell Star Pro!

For those visiting for the first time—welcome! One of our favorite ways to showcase our readers is our Readers’ Rides album on Facebook. You can check it out at http://on.fb.me/12jEqE3. Just another Reason why we Love Triathlon

We get the chance to work with an awesome group of people here. Not just the Aerogeeks team itself, but athletes, coaches, and industry representatives. One of our favorites is Larissa with Profile Design. She is our go-to person for all things PD and a great person to work with overall. That’s why we couldn’t have been more amazed by her IMAZ story. Some of you may have heard of a 17:01:30 “finisher” who missed the time cutoff and instead ended up with something truly special – Meredith Kessler’s personal finisher medal. That’s what was presented to Larissa when she crossed the line, by Meredith herself. A big congrats to Larissa for crossing the line, and a huge shout out to Meredith for once again reminding us why we all race.

Mail Room

We have had two very big boxes in the AG mail room for a while, and we finally got to build them this past week. Meet our new (at least temporarily) Cannondale Slice Di2. Be sure to check out our first look at the all new Slice and stay tuned for our first ride thoughts. We also built our new Kuat NV. The team has been utilizing a pair of Kuat Sherpas to haul our bikes, but this is our first time with the NV. Stay tuned for our thoughts on how the NV works for triathletes (versus our mountain bike brethren), as well as how it stacks up against Kuat’s own Sherpa.

  1. As for your new servers, i am signed up to receive your posts in my email and i used to get the whole post in my email. Now i only get a short excerpt from the beginning and i have to click a link to go to the website to read the rest. I liked it better when it was the whole post in the email because i often read it on my smartphone and it is easier that way. You asked, those are my thoughts. Keep up the good work!
